Young Road Victims (Unge Trafikdræbte) is a non-profit organization working to further the awareness of road safety especially among young people. Since the foundation in 2001 our mission has been the same: If we can prevent even ONE death, we have succeeded.

What we do is simple – yet effective. We create events where young people are confronted with the professionals that experience the consequences of accidents first hand: paramedics, undertakers, nurses, doctors and vicars. They all tell their personal stories – and through their narrative the audience experience that there is real people and real death behind the statistics.

Since 2001 thousands of young adults has attended our events – and we continue to develop and raise awareness.

Currently “Young Road Victims” are working on the project U-Time, where we try to combine the road safety awareness with the use of mobil phones as a medium for learning. This project will be running all through 2010 and 2011, so stay tuned to the website for more information about that – or contact project manager Adam Bindslev at ab@ungetrafikdraebte.dk for more information about this project.

Young Road Vicitims are proud to be a signatory of the European Road Safety Charter (www.erscharter.eu).
